Exception staff, great course conditions and service - overall delightful experience - I would recommend it to anyone that loves the game of golf.

the grounds crew are in the process of adding sand to the much needed bunkers. This is a demanding course and a thinkers course, very challaging.

Played this course at 8am Monday 3/12, while in Baltimore on business. I found the the young man in the Pro Shop and the early morning starter(Bob) to be very friendly & accommodating. I had an 8am tee time but they informed me that the Superintendent called a "frost delay" & had to wait 40 minutes to tee off.

I was charged $40 which was ok...but I thought - "early March, early weekday morning"...could have been a touch lees...?

I found the course in very good winter shape, the tee boxes & greens in great shape. I was a little disappointed in the fairways as it seems no one replaces divots or fills them in, in the winter?!

On holes 3 and 6, a fairway mower (elderly gentleman) stopped & we chatted; he was very nice and gave me a few tips on the course. I was the only person that I saw,on the course until the 16th hole & found a two-some in front of me, which I jumped over to play 17 & found a single playing that hole but he was far enough in front that I was able to play-in the round.

Overall a course I'd definetely play again when I'm in town.....

Played here 9-15-11 for the first time in several years. Paid $39 as a senior with the Tee Time book, a fair price for the quality of the course. Any more would be too much.

When I played here some years ago, I did not care for the course, or more specifically, the ATTITUDE of the staff. I am happy to say that all has changed: Pat, the pro shop staffer when I checked in, could not have been more gracious and welcoming, the starter was cordial and very helpful, and the on-course beverage cart lady, Michele, was a real delight.

The course itself has always had a problem with drainage, and today was no exception, especially in view of the very heavy rains from Tropical Storm Lee this past weekend, however, the grounds team has done a great job in getting the course back in shape, and the only signs of residual water were in several of the bunkers, which were still puddled, but being pumped out. Remarkably, the greens were in excellent condition overall, and putted smooth and true. Fairways were quite nice, even lush in some areas.

Course design is somewhat mixed: some very nice holes, like #1 and #10, and some real dogs, like #9 (a sinuous par 5 with very tight and sloped landing areas) and #16 (a par four with serious gunch along the left side of the fairway, and more of the same for the last 100 yards in on the right).

Overall, the course is a fair test of golf, and under drier conditions, would be a lot more fun! I recommend you try it...but call ahead, as it gets a lot of local play, including the high school golf team!
